I have noticed that the 68 pennies metal composition appears to have a warmer softer color and luster to them. Possibly the planchett metal mix was a tad different.. Have y'all noticed that? Great show πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜Ž

Actually just found a 68 d 801 two days ago. Hoping to send it off to be graded (my first). Would love for it to come back as a 68 grade but know it’s unlikely. I did also find some 68 with extra β€œmaterial” in the memorial, is this a common error?

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯♦️♦️unfortunately, I do not own any of these 68 pennies , wish I did. Thanks for the info J&B. πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I do have a roll each of 1968-D & S. I do not know if there are any errors or varieties yet. They were part of an auction buy of almost 100 rolls of wheat cents. I haven’t searched them yet. But they are added to the list.

I had no idea that after 1968 the mint made Lincoln's head smaller.
Thanks for the heads up on the errors on the 1968D pennies. I don't have any yet but I'm gonna check my penny jar and my change.
