About Simple Little Life:
This channel has sort of turned (inadvertently) into a knife making channel. But the original idea behind what we wanted it to be is this description below:

Videos on our journey to homesteading. With a recent purchase of a little piece of the Alberta prairie, we’re looking to sell our nice suburban home in search of a more meaningful life beyond chasing the “American dream” working for some big company and making someone else rich. It’s not about the money, it’s about getting the most value from the work I do to improving the life of my family.

Some preparedness, DIY, building quality things with your hands, guns, gear, and outdoor exploration.

So envious of your perfect freehand bevels!! And nice tongs you are using to take the knife out of your heat treating oven!! Another great knife and video!! Thanks for amazing content!

After he cut the paper towel roll the fact that he gripped it with his left hand and and the “stay humble” tattoo was peaking through, kinda freaked me out but is also very funny and fitting.

Looks great and man is it sharp as always. I do have a question this time. Why such a thick steel? In the beginning of the video when I noticed the thickness I was fully prepared to see you thinning it out a bit. I was very suprised when you didn't. Not a bash at all. Just a question. I've watched every video you have ever done on this channel and usually see you match the steel thickness to the particular knife you are making. I do the same except for when I am going to thin it out unless forging then it really doesn't much matter.

Thanks for the awesome video! Couldn’t have come at a more perfect time as I’m grinding a recurve myself. Question: can you please do a video of making a kydex sheath for blades that have curves? Also I’m terrified that that drill press is going to catch the blade and rip your arm open. 🤓 thank you so much for the inspiration and keep up the good work!!

Another great build video Jeremy. Are the scales palm? If so, how are they to work with? I’ve heard they splinter bad and I have been avoiding them, but keep seeing beautiful sets for sale on IG.
