thanks for this video… i have almost a whole roll of 2009 P- Alaska quarters that i received from the bank in one roll..in 2008. they have the die chips (or extra material) on the claws and the lettering…they should be in great condition….not sure what i will do now.

I am in the process of collecting the state quarters and knew about the extra claw. Been looking for it for a while. I thought I had found one, but once I got my microscope and checked it again sadly, it was not.

I wonder who that dude in the jeans & tan shirt walking in the foreground of the Denver mint picture is…

The extra claw error is the only error on the Alaska quarter I have heard of… never seen a picture of it before or knew about the clad layer missing on that coin, or even that the clad layer COULD be missing from only one side; thought it was a done via electroplating, which would do the entire thing at once. Now I'm wondering about the details of exactly how they make them.

The Alaska 2008 Quarter i really didnt know about the extra claw error it really kind of cool, nore did i know the oklahoma Quarter had the lowest mintage lots of good information per usual.thanks.
