There are two types of organizations I see. One is very focused on business results, ROI, and traditional business leaders. The other is more progressive and forward-thinking. It doesn’t mean that they don’t value business results, ROI, and objectives, but it’s not the primary way they define who a leader is, what a leader is, and the people who they believe are future leaders.
Who you admire as a leader is crucial because the way you define leader and the people you look up to and want to emulate will ultimately create the environment and culture of your organization. So, the way you think about leadership and the way you define the word leader sets the direction for your company and your team.
Ask yourself, who’s a great leader you admire and why?
